Please note: we highly recommend using a email service provider to send bulk email to your
mailing list. You will experience higher open rates and most providers offer stats for you
to track your open and click rates. If you're interested in learning more, we recommend
checking out MailChimp. They offer free plans for
mailing lists under 500 email addresses and discounts on larger plans for non-profits.
If you're not interested and just want to try sending a graphical email to promote your Laugh
Your Way to a Better Marriage event to your list using your regular email software on your desktop,
including Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail, this is the tool for you. This tool helps you generate
a graphical email campaign in HTML format that you can try to send to your email software to send
out to your list.
On a Mac, you must use Safari for this to work. On a Windows PC, we recommend using
Internet Explorer, though Safari for Windows may work also. Firefox WILL NOT work, sorry.
Unfortunately this won't work for everyone, and we can't offer phone support for any issues with
this, but it doesn't hurt to try. If you can't get it to work, please consider sending a plain-text
email to your list instead.
- Select your event from the list in the upper-left.
- Make any desired changes to the default content on the left.
- When you're happy with the preview, generate your customized campaign at the bottom of the page.
- The finished email will open in a new window in your browser.
- In that browser window, follow the directions below depending on your browser:
-
Internet Explorer 7: In the new window with your finished email,
look in the toolbar for the Page drop-down and select Send Page by E-Mail. Your default email
client should open with your email created as a new message, simply address it to your
list and send it out! We strongly encourage using BCC if you're sending the email to
multiple people.
-
Internet Explorer 6: In the new window with your finished email,
go to the menu bar and select File > Send > Page by E-Mail. Your default email
client should open with your email created as a new message, simply address it to your
list and send it out! We strongly encourage using BCC if you're sending the email to
multiple people.
-
Safari: After selecting the new window with your finished email,
go to your menu bar and select File > Mail Contents of This Page. Apple Mail
should open with your email created as a new message, simply address it to your
list and send it out! We strongly encourage using BCC if you're sending the email
to multiple people.
Good luck!
